India tour of Australia: Pink ball Test match tournament schedule: In a strategic move ahead of their much-anticipated tour of Australia, India will play an additional pink-ball match, which will provide crucial practice ahead of the second Test in Adelaide.

This newly confirmed two-day match against the Prime Minister’s XI will take place on November 30 and December 1 at the Manuka Oval in Canberra. The match, which will be held between the first and second Tests of the Border-Gavaskar series, offers India valuable experience with the pink ball under lights.

The Canberra day-night encounter holds special significance as India gears up for the series’ second Test, which will also take place on a day-night schedule in Adelaide.

Australia had previously defeated India by eight wickets in their only other pink-ball Test during the 2020 series, making this upcoming match a crucial opportunity for India to adapt and refine their strategies.

This edition of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy will be played over five Tests for the first time in three decades, adding an extra layer of excitement and significance.

Both teams are not only competing for the coveted trophy but are also aiming to make it to the final of the ICC World Test Championship next year.

Reigning world Test champions Australia are eager to defend their title after defeating India by 209 runs at the Oval last year, while India currently hold a slight lead in the championship standings.
