IND vs PAK: Legendary Pakistani batter and modern-day legend is Pakistan’s most experienced and most dependable batter coming into the 2025 Champions Trophy at home. Among the current players, only former skipper Babar Azam and Fakhar Zaman are the players who were part of Pakistan’s Champions Trophy winning squad 8 years ago in 2017.
However, according to a recent report made by one of the most trustworthy sources, RevSportz, Babar Azam could possibly be ruled out of the Champions Trophy clash against India. Pakistan, the host side, seems to be in a must-win situation to keep their hopes alive for the Champions Trophy.
Fakhar Zaman was also ruled out owing to a back injury he faced during fielding for Pakistan in the opening match of the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy against New Zealand. Ahead of the clash against India, Babar was absent from the training session, and even matchday reports do not confirm their inclusion in the Pakistan 11.
IND vs PAK: Imam-ul Haq has joined Pakistan in Dubai; Will he open for Pakistan against India?

The experienced left-handed batter Imam has joined the Pakistan team in the pre-match training sessions in Dubai ahead of the Champions Trophy clash against arch-rivals India. He has also had considerable success playing against India.
Other than Imam, who replaced Fakhar Zaman in the Pakistan squad, Usman Khan is also another backup batter in the squad. However, Khan unlike Imam, has never had prior experience and will make his debut if he is picked into the 11, while he would also be shifted to a new role as an opener from his natural No. 4 position in his List A career.
