IND vs NZ: India has lost the test series to the visiting Blackcap team, and they would now be looking forward to a possible boost in morale before making it to the Australian island for the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
India, after facing defeat in the Chinnaswamy test, went on to create a flatter and turning pitch at Pune while also including the likes of Washington Sundar in the match, as he excelled with the ball as well.
A few days ago, it was declared that Harshit Rana, the KKR bowler who excelled in the IPL title-winning franchise, was named into the India squad for the third test.
Rana excelled during the Duleep Trophy, where he kept picking multiple four-fors for the team, after which his recent dominance playing for Delhi against Assam saw the bowler picking a 5-for while also scoring a decent half-century in the same match when he contributed heavily to a 99-run partnership for the seventh wicket.
However, today Abhishek Nayar, the assistant coach of the Indian team, made a startling announcement in his press release that no addition has been made to the Indian side, hence waving off the huge report of Harshit Rana’s likely inclusion in the squad.
Hence, Harshit Rana would remain an uncapped player before the IPL retention sets on 31st October, while also Rana would only be seen in India’s tour to Australia for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
