IND vs BAN: India has already announced the squad for the shortest format of white-ball cricket against the visiting Bangladesh side, the World Cup-winning all-rounder, Shivam Dube has been ruled out as a major setback to the Indian side.

However, the young and promising middle-order batter, Tilak Varma has been drafted in as the new inclusion to the side, after his promising setup in the Duleep Trophy.

Shivam Dube suffered a major setback in February, which ruled him out of the game for long before he returned, to be a regular in India’s setup. He starred in the World Cup for India as well, and since his comeback, he has been a good scorer for them with the bat with a promising 377 runs in 23 games, striking at nearly 126.93. His role has been inevitable with his short yet useful cameos in the World Cup-winning Indian side’s race to the title.

The replaced player, Tilak Varma has played 16 matches for India, making his debut against the same Afghan side in January this year. Though Dube mostly can have a role to play with both the bat and ball, Tilak who is a better batter can also bowl decent part-time off-spin.
