Adil hasn’t been a part of franchise cricket which gives him a few demerit points as well. They do have Livingstone and Ali but they too at times leak runs. They should have gone for a more reliable option like Leach.
Opportunities for the England Cricket Team: –
The most significant opportunity is for Chris Woakes and Mark Wood. Mark Wood is a genuinely quick bowler and has been in Archer’s shadow for a while. He has the ability to make the ball take off the pitch like a rocket. He can bowl up to 150 clicks regularly. Woakes on the other hand has to fill the void of Stokes. Stokes has been an integral part of the team making significant contributions and now it’s time for Woakes to portray what he has got.
Threats for the England Cricket Team: –
The biggest threat for the Englishmen in the failure of their slam-bang approach. This policy of going after every ball and keep the pressure on the opposition doesn’t reap good dividends. At times the batting gets perished very quickly and they get wrapped up for a two-digit score. On the other hand, in the case of bowling, the tactical changes take a hit. Also, the absence of their best players in Jofra and Stokes will be a big void.
