The top eight finishers in the Cricket World Cup Super League, a competition that has been held for the past three years and features the best 13 sides in international cricket, receive a spot in the 10-team World Cup.
England now leads the race with 155 points, securing seven of the eight spots (15 wins and no results). Afghanistan has 115 points (11 wins and no results), which is the lowest among teams with top-eight spots already guaranteed. Six other teams have points that guarantee a berth in the top eight. Australia, New Zealand, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and other countries have accumulated points as well. Starting on June 18, the Super League’s bottom five teams will depart for Zimbabwe to compete in the Cricket World Cup qualifiers.
