Skipper Rohit Sharma who is in fourth place with 91 fours will also look to reach the top spot while David Warner has 86 fours to his name so far.

Basket legend Chris Gayle currently holds the top two spots for fastest centuries in the Men’s T20 World Cup, having scored centuries off 47 and 50 balls.

Namibia’s Jan Nicole Lofty-Eaton scored the fastest T20 century off just 33 balls this year, so this record could be in danger. With expanded squads in this edition and the higher strike-rates already seen this year, this record is expected to be broken in this edition.

With this increase in the number of matches, the record for total runs scored in a single edition can be expected to be challenged. Currently, this record is held by Virat Kohli, who scored 319 runs in 6 matches in the 2014 edition of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
