Basket legend Chris Gayle currently holds the top two spots for fastest centuries in the Men’s T20 World Cup, having scored centuries off 47 and 50 balls.
Namibia’s Jan Nicole Lofty-Eaton scored the fastest T20 century off just 33 balls this year, so this record could be in danger. With expanded squads in this edition and the higher strike-rates already seen this year, this record is expected to be broken in this edition.

First team to simultaneously win every ICC trophy
When Australia won the ICC Test Championship and the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup in 2023, Pat Cummins led them to history last year.
If the Caribbean squad wins the 2024 T20 World Cup, they will have the chance to make history by being the first team to ever hold ICC trophies in all three game formats at the same time.

Most catches by a fielder
AB de Villiers currently tops the list of most catches as a fielder in Men’s T20 World Cups, with 23 catches to his name. With 21 catches, David Warner is ranked second on the list.
