Indian cricketer Sanju Samson has now entered the elite club alongside Indian legends MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli. As both of these cricketers own Indian football teams, so does the great Sachin Tendulkar.
Sanju Samson was a part of India’s T20 World Cup-winning squad, though he didn’t appear for the side. All in all, Sanju Samson was not picked for the Duleep Trophy side until he was called in for Team D to replace the injured Ishan Kishan.
Eventually, Ishan Kishan also made a comeback with Team India C in the second round of the Duleep Trophy, where he scored an exclusive hundred on his comeback to formidable test cricket with the Duleep Trophy.
The star cricketer has now followed in the footsteps of the legends of the sport, as Samson has turned co-owner of the Malappuram FC in the latest edition of the inaugural KSL, Kerala Super League.
The club is co-owned by VA Ajmal Bismi, Baby Neelambra, and Dr. Anvar Ameen alongside Sanju Samson. The team represents the Malappuram district of Kerela and plays most of their matches at the Malappuram District Complex.

Before Samson, Sachin Tendulkar owned the Kerala Blasters FC in the ISL as a co-owner, while now Virat Kohli also co-owns the club FC Goa in the Indian Super League. MS Dhoni is also known to be one of the major owners of the Chennayin FC alongside Bollywood actors Abhishek Bachchan and Vita Dani.
Sanju Samson was picked for the Duleep Trophy; the India D team failed to show a promising performance in the opening game as he got out for just 5 runs in 6 balls, and next for Samson is lined up for the IPL 2025, after he is the major among players to be anticipated as the retained skipper of his side.
