The Five-time IPL Champions and one of the most successful franchises, Chennai Super Kings (CSK), have revealed their retained and released players for the upcoming IPL 2026 mini-auction. CSK took some major calls; they traded their best all-rounder, Ravindra Jadeja, to the Rajasthan Royals in exchange for Sanju Samson.
CSK has released plenty of players ahead of the IPL 2026 auction, which includes big names like Ravindra Jadeja, Sam Curran, Matheesha Pathirana, Rachin Ravindra, and Devon Conway. A total of 12 players were released by Chennai, which is the highest among all teams.
With this, Chennai Super Kings have a purse of Rs. 43.40 crore, which is second second-highest after Kolkata Knight Riders, who have the purse of Rs. 64.30. However, Chennai need to tick lots of boxes after having a disappointing season in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.

Chennai Super Kings Purse Remaining:
After releasing plenty of players, Chennai Super Kings will enter the IPL 2026 mini auction with a heavy purse of Rs. 43.40 crore. They are going to buy lots of players, especially overseas, as they have 4 slots still available.
CSK need to pick some quality all-rounders and fast bowlers after the release of Ravindra Jadeja, Sam Curran, and Matheesha Pathirana. Sanju Samson will play for Chennai in the IPL 2026; however, Ruturaj Gaikwad will still be the captain of the team in the upcoming season.
