In the second test match being played at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai between New Zealand and India, Ajaz Patel took all 10 wickets of the Indian Cricket Team. Ajaz Patel has written his name in the history books alongside the likes of Jim Lakers and Anil Kumble. The left-arm spinner from New Zealand was born in the “City of Dreams” Mumbai back in 1988. His parents then migrated to New Zealand. 32 years later, Ajaz is back to his birthplace to script history.

Anil Kumble also wished Ajaz Patel via the official broadcaster Star Sports India. Ajaz Patel has ensured that he gets his name on the honors board at the Wankhede Stadium in bright golden letters. He ended with figures of 47.5 overs conceding 119 runs and picking up all 10 wickets. He bowled with an economy of 2.50 and also bowled 12 maiden overs. As Ajaz was the only bowler who was building pressure New Zealand conceded 325 runs.

This unmatched feat of having 10 wickets in an innings was previously done by Anil Kumble and Jim Laker. Anil Kumble has done this against arch-rivals Pakistan in the year 1999.
