The schedule for the 2025 ICC Men’s Champions Trophy has been released: The ICC released the schedule and groupings on Tuesday, December 24. The competition will start in Karachi on February 19 and end on March 9.
The eight-team competition will take place in Pakistan and Dubai and consist of fifteen matches. The competition will be held in three different locations in Pakistan: Rawalpindi, Lahore, and Karachi.
Each location in Pakistan will host three group matches, with the second semi-final taking place in Lahore. In addition, the final will take place in Lahore on March 9 unless India advances, in which case it will take place in Dubai.
Both the semifinals and the championship game will have reserve days. Dubai will host the first semi-final as well as the three group matches involving India.
On February 19, Pakistan will play New Zealand in Karachi in the opening game of the Group A tournament. The following day, India will play Bangladesh in the Dubai leg.
ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025 Host Venues
In Pakistan, Rawalpindi, Lahore and Karachi will be the three major venues where the group stage matches will be played. Three group matches will be held at each venue.
Lahore will not only host the second semi-final but the final will also be played there. However, if India reach the final, the match will be held in Dubai. Reserve days have also been kept for both the semi-finals and the final.
ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025 Key Matches
The opening match of the tournament will be played between Pakistan and New Zealand in Group A on February 19 in Karachi. The Dubai leg will begin with a match between India and Bangladesh in Dubai the next day. Group B matches will begin from February 21, where Afghanistan will face South Africa in Karachi.
A thrilling match will be played between England and Australia in Lahore on February 22. The next day, on February 23, the much-awaited India-Pakistan match will be held in Dubai.
