The Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) picked the best retentions, with their skipper Pat Cummins, who led them to an IPL final in the previous season of 2024. They played the final alongside KKR, though losing the game eventually despite their earnest efforts.

Sunrisers also included the likes of star batters Abhishek Sharma, Travis Head, and Heinrich Klaasen in their retention list, which also drew a huge amount of money from their purse. Also, they included Nitish Reddy, the rising youngster from Indian cricket.

Sighting their limited INR 45 crore purse into the mega-auction, the Sunrisers didn’t have the finest of auctions yet included some crucial players in Mohammed Shami, Ishan Kishan, and Harshal Patel.

Also, improving their spin deck to a fair extent from the lack of complete spin options in the previous seasons.

SRH will retain the likes of IPL’s most explosive opening batting pair, the Indian rising superstar Abhishek Sharma and Aussie batter Travis Head. The duo scored 1000+ runs last season as openers for the SRH side, both striking above 200, which is an incredible feat in the game.

Middle-Order Batters: Ishan Kishan, Heinrich Klaasen, and Abhinav Manohar

The middle order comprises the newly bought Ishan Kishan; the left-handed wicketkeeper batter only strengthens their middle order alongside explosive Heinrich Klaasen in the South African side.

Abhinav Manohar has been in true form in the domestic cycle, as he continues his explosive brilliance down the order even in the ongoing SMAT matches.

All-Rounders: Nitish Kumar Reddy and Pat Cummins

Retained all-rounder NK Reddy can occasionally excel with both the bat and ball for SRH, just like he has done for India. Aussie skipper Cummins might also find himself in such a situation, while an impact player might be called in to create depth to their batting order.

Bowlers: Harshal Patel, Mohammed Shami, Adam Zampa, and Rahul Chahar

A fresh lineup in the bowling deck for the Sunrisers, as Vettori hands pick the likes of experienced pacer Mohammed Shami alongside the two-time purple cap winner in the last three seasons, Harshal Patel.

While Rahul Chahar and Adam Zampa might be the two leg-spinners in the SRH deck, Zampa is the world’s most recognized spinner in the format currently, which obviously adds the perfect cherry on top.

Impact Player: Sachin Baby/Simarjeet Singh

While Kerela batter Sachin Baby takes the place of an impact player, adding depth to their batting, while also Simarjeet Singh might also be extra help to their pace attack if an additional player in the role is needed.
