IPL has had a long legacy among global franchise-level tournaments for the shortest format of the game, and many players have risen to excellence having featured in the tournament. The Royal Challengers Bangalore have been one of the birth-giving franchises for legendary players.

One of the most gifted players produced by the RCB includes cricket sensation, Virat Kohli, while the other unique talent produced by India includes the likes of leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal.

Chahal has been a veteran with Royal Challengers Bangalore, even playing at the Chinnaswamy, India’s biggest six-hitting arena, where he ruled with his leg spin. Chahal later moved to the Rajasthan Royals after he was not retained by the Royal Challengers before the mega-auction of 2022.

Top 3 franchises to target Yuzvendra Chahal in the IPL mega-auction

Mumbai Indians

The Mumbai Indians would be the most determined franchise team in this year’s IPL, who would look to be in the hunt for a spinner since all their previous campaigns went in vain due to the lack of a quality spinner.

Chahal will be the best possible spinner who can be an asset in Mumbai’s well-decked bowling lineup, which is spearheaded by Jasprit Bumrah.

Punjab Kings

Another major team who would be in the hunt for a spinner, as Ricky Ponting didn’t part ways with the spin bowling coach in Sunil Joshi.

Yuzi Chahal will come in handy on another major high-scoring home ground of Mohali, as the new head coach looks to reinforce their squad ahead of the mega-auction.

Royal Challengers Bangalore

The Royal Challengers might sight a return of their veteran as the highest wicket-taking bowler in the history of the game.

Chahal would once again be backed for the spinners department, as since his departure they have not been able to find a better player in the role.
