One of the most eagerly awaited tournaments in the current day, the ACC Men’s T20 Emerging Asia Cup is a platform where the A-grade deputy teams of major test-playing nations and other minor non-test-playing nations from Asia will participate. The tournament is expected to be held from the 18th to the 27th of October at Muscat.

The Indian selectors have formed one of the most robust teams, as India A seems to have a promising campaign for the forthcoming tournament. The A team of the Men in Blue will feature alongside Oman, Pakistan A, and the UAE.

India’s robust squad has included the likes of skipper Tilak Varma, the young and promising player from the Mumbai Indian squad, who recently scored a Duleep Trophy hundred as well.

Abhishek Sharma, the aggressive opener from the T20I side, has been named as Tilak’s deputy, while he is a constant who featured in the previous season of 2023 as well. The last season was played over in the longer white-ball format.

India was led by skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad in the last Emerging Asia Cup, where he also led them to a title triumph; however, the likes of the versatile opener have not been included in India’s squad this time around.

Other than the skipper and the explosive vice-captain, India has pushed to newer limits with the newest batters in Prabhsimran Singh, Ayush Badoni, and Nehal Wadhera, who have had their recent strides in the shortest format of domestic cricket.

The India A team’s pace deck will be loaded with the likes of the latest sensations in Anshul Kamboj, the multi-innings hero in the recent Duleep Trophy developments. KKR’s title-winning campaigner in 2024, Vaibhav Arora, has also been named for the side.
