IND vs BAN: Indian spin maestro and legendary name Ravi Ashwin just went past the likes of the great Anil Kumble to turn the highest wicket-getter for India in tests.

During the second match against Bangladesh at the Kanpur stadium, Ravi Ashwin picked his 420th wicket on Asian soil as he got rid of the Bangladeshi skipper, trapped in front of the wicket. This got him to become the second in Asian countries as he went past Kumble who has 419 wickets in Asia.

Now, Ravi Ashwin is only behind the great Muttiah Muralitharan who seals the first spot with more wickets than Ashwin on Asian soil, as he has 612 wickets. However, Kumble has had the most splendorous career in the SENA countries, as he had more wickets than Muralitharan in those foreign countries.

Also, the other greats on Asian soil with spin remain, Sri Lanka’s spin veteran Rangana Herath had 354 wickets while Harbhajan Singh followed them in the list with 300 wickets concerning the 5th position.
