With the news coming of Jay Shah securing a place at the highest level at the ICC. If it happens, then Shah needs to relinquish his current position at the BCCI. As a result, this will open the search for the ideal candidate for this role.

That’s where Rohan Jaitley comes up as the prime name. As reported by Dainik Jagran, Rohan is likely to grab this role. Notably, under his supervision, DDCA introduced the Delhi Premier League and is operating it smoothly, including some big names like Ishant Sharma, Rishabh Pant, Harshit Rana, and Ayush Badoni.

On the other hand, Jay Shah has great support from the other board members of the ICC. Some reports claim that 15 out of 16 members back Shah for this role. This means it is more likely that he will get this role.

There might not be another candidate opposing him. The tenure of the history new role at the ICC is likely to start on December 1. Shah is also the president of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) and is managing both roles pretty smoothly.
