AUS vs ENG: Team Australia’s left-arm quick for the United Kingdom tour in the Scotland and England tour for the shortest format of the game, Spencer Johnson has been ruled out due to an injury. Also, the Aussie team were ready with their immediate replacement, Sean Abbott who was previously in the ODI squad for England has been called to the United Kingdom.
Spencer Johnson has not had the best of seasons in the Hundred, as he could claim only two wickets in 6 games, while he sustained an injury against Oval Invincibles. The left-arm pacer rose to fame with stunning performances in the BBL, based on which he made his commanding IPL debut in 2024 for the Gujarat Titans at a whopping auction bid of INR 10 crores.
Aussies are considering Spencer Johnson as the ideal replacement for the legendary pacer Mitchell Starc in the T20 international side against Scotland and then against the Three Lions. Mitchell Starc has been rested from the T20I side for both series, while Aussies skipper Pat Cummins has been dropped from the entire tour. However, Josh Hazelwood has been the only bowler in the trio to be featured across all formats for the upcoming UK tour.

The tour will also include the likes of Marcus Stoinis, Cam Green and Aaron Hardie.
