Following Olmo’s stunning form in the Euros 2024, it has been reported that several big European clubs, with the likes of Bayern Munich and PL greats Manchester City, have shown interest in the Spaniard, however, Olmo has his heart set on former La Liga based youth club FC Barcelona, who too are the forerunners for the attacking mid-fielder.

However, Barcelona did not set Dani Olmo as their priority as they aimed to include the likes of another Spanish player from their Euros triumph. Nico Williams has been in the buzz since his stunning pairing with the terrific Lamine Yamal, who already had a full season with the Catalan club. With Williams favouring to stay at the Basque club, Barca have shifted their focus to the Leipzig star.

Dani Olmo has reportedly been offered some terms, and he has agreed on personal terms with the Catalan club and is only interested in making a move to Barcelona this summer as has agreed on a six-year contract.

The Spanish club giants have however made a new offer to Leipzig as they are yet to have talks over the transfer fees. With the hopes of their new offer being accepted, they have made an offer worth €55m without add-ons. An extra add-on worth €7m will be as Barca looks to sign him until 2030.

Recently, Schroder insisted that there is no need at Leipzig to sell Olmo this summer as they have not included him in the pre-season for Leipzig which stirred up the speculations of a probable transfer. He indicated what value the Spaniard holds in the Bundesliga club, and his future is not uncertain there. With Leipzig standing firm on Olmo’s release clause, Barca seems to be falling behind and hence there would still be some distance to be covered before any turns official.
