T20 World Cup 2024 Names of 8 teams and schedule confirmed for the Super-8 round: The ongoing ICC T20 World Cup 2024, being hosted by the USA and the West Indies, is going to enter the second stage of the Super-8 after crossing the exciting stage of the first round.
Out of the 20 teams playing in this mega event, finally, those 8 teams have crossed the first stage and gotten a place in the next round, the Super-8.
After the matches played on Monday, all 8 teams have been confirmed for the Super-8, that is, now it is clear that 12 teams of this T20 World Cup are out, and 8 teams are now going to move forward with the title.
The official schedule for the Super 8 round of the 2024 T20 World Cup states that the United States of America and South Africa will play their first match on Wednesday, June 19.
T20 World Cup 2024: Teams qualified for Super-8 divided into groups
The journey of the Super-8 matches in the ICC T20 World Cup starts on June 19th. For which all eight teams have been decided.
Bangladesh guaranteed a spot in the Super-8 after defeating Nepal on Monday. All of the teams were split into two groups of four for the Super-8, which were then preserved as Group A and Group B.
So let us tell you the names of the 8 teams decided for Super-8 and also tell how and in which group these teams have gotten a place.
T20 World Cup 2024 Group-A:
- Bangladesh
The 9th edition of the T20 World Cup consists of 4 teams in Group A, which includes India, Australia, Afghanistan and Bangladesh.
In the league round, Team India topped Group A, Australia finished first in Group B (considered the second team in Group B as per ICC seeding), Afghanistan finished first in Group C and Bangladesh finished second in Group D.
These four teams will play 1-1 matches with the other teams of their group, out of which the top 2 teams in Group-A will enter the semi-finals.
T20 World Cup 2024 Group-B:
- USA
- England
- West Indies
- South Africa
Talking about the second group of Super-8 of this World Cup, the teams have been decided in this too, where the second team from Group-A in the league is the USA, which reached the second round in its first World Cup.
After this, the second team from Group B is England, the West Indies, which came in second from Group C, have a place, while South Africa, which came first from Group D, was included. From here too, the top teams will play in the semi-finals.
