England won the toss and chose to bat first but this decision doesn’t come in favour for England as they lost five wickets at 112 runs on the scoreboard. However, Joe Root batted well and stood alone for England at one end and played a crucial knock of 106 runs in 226 balls with nine fours.
England started quite decent but could not convert it into a larger partnership as Zak Crawley got out by scoring 42 runs in 42 balls.
