BBL 2023 Draft: BBL 2023 Released Players List and Retention Players: On August 11, 2023, Cricket Australia unveiled the Big Bash League 2023-24 Draft. In the draft, Six Prominent T20 cricketers are on the draft list for auction. BBL 2023-24 was scheduled from December 7, 2023, to January 24, 2024. The BBL 2023-24 Draft starts on September 3 at 4:30 PM.
Players like Nicholas Pooran, Alex Hales, Faf du Plessis, Rille Rossouw, Colin Munro, and Laurie Evans are in the first batch of nominations for the BBL 2023-24 Draft. Franchises will decide whether they will retain or release draft players. On September 3, 2023, the Draft of BBL gets underway.
South African Opener and ICC Men’s T20I batting ranking World No. 5 Rilee Rossouw is in outstanding form for South Africa in International Cricket. He is going for auction due to poor performance for Sydney Thunder in the last season. Rilee Rossouw played at an average of 18.14 in the tournament.
Faf du Plessis played outstandingly in IPL 2023 for RCB and for Texas Super Kings in MLC. In BBL 2022-23, Faf du Plessis played for Perth Scorchers as a replacement for Brad Evans. Faf du Plessis scored 163 runs with a strike rate of 153.77.
Nicholas Pooran will in BBL 2023 Auction:
Faf du Plessis is going for Auction in BBL 2023-24 if Perth Scorchers Franchise releases him for auction. Power Hitter Nicholas Pooran gave his name for Auction in BBL after three years. Pooran was not participating in BBL from BBL 2019-20.
The current form of Nicholas Pooran in International cricket and IPL was outstanding. Pooran became the second player after Chris Gayle, who scored the most runs for West Indies in T20I cricket. All Franchises of BBL are excited to add Pooran to their squad.
New Zealand Opener Colin Munro is available for retention for Brisbane Heat. Meanwhile, England’s Laurie Evans is available for retention for Perth Scorchers this season. Munro scored 278 runs at an average of 34.75 with a strike rate of 150.27.
Munro played good innings for Brisbane Heat last season and was one of the most consistent players of Brisbane Heat in BBL 2022-23. England’s Opener, Alex Hales, recently announced his retirement from international cricket.
This season Alex Hales is available for retention for Sydney Thunder in the upcoming September Draft. Hales’s performance in BBL is outstanding; he scored 1747 runs at a strike rate of 150.73, which is second best in BBL after Glenn Maxwell.
