WPL 2023: These days the thrill of the Women’s Premier League has started on the land of India, after which now this thrill has started filling the hearts of the fans. The Tata Women’s Premier League started on Saturday, on the second day of which the first match was played between Delhi Capitals and RCB in double header matches on Sunday.

In this match held at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai, Delhi Capitals stunned Royal Challengers Bangalore with a tremendous performance, where they made a winning start with a resounding 60-run win.

Delhi Capitals beat RCB by 60 runs

The second match of the first edition of the Women’s Premier League and today’s first match was played between Delhi Capitals and RCB. In this match, Delhi Capitals made a tremendous start and while batting first, scored a mountain-like score of 223 runs for 2 wickets in their 20 overs, in response the RCB team could not do anything special and scored 163 runs for 8 wickets in 20 overs. Could only make it and lost the match by 60 runs.

In this match played at Brabourne Stadium, RCB captain Smriti Mandhana decided to field first after winning the toss. The decision turned out to be completely wrong, as the Capitals’ opening pair of Mag Lanning and Shefali Verma tore apart RCB’s bowling. Both the opening batsmen made the bowlers a toy at will and shared a 162-run partnership for the first wicket in 14.3 overs. Mag Lanning got out after scoring 72 runs in 43 balls. After this, Shefali was also dismissed for a stormy 84 in 45 balls. But even after this Marijana Kapp 17 balls 39 and Jemima Rodrigues 15 balls 22 runs scored a score of 223 for 2 wickets.
