IPL 2023: Besides the tournament itself, the IPL Auction is undoubtedly one of the most intriguing parts of the event. Every year, a couple hundred players go under the hammer to test their fortunes. Some get sold for big bucks while a few unlucky ones go unsold.

Occasionally an unsold player can also be back with a bang in the following edition. This year too there might be a few names making big bucks with their recent arrival of form in the IPL 2023 Auction.

Let’s take a look at the few players who might be of some need to the struggling franchises.

3. Chris Lynn

The explosive Aussie opener has been a sizzling entertainer in this format of the game representing teams in domestic leagues all around the globe.

With many big franchises like the defending champions Gujarat Titans, the veteran MI or the recently struggling KKR all in the hunt for an explosive and experienced opener, their search might be brought to an end by the diligent opener Lynn.

With MI and GT still having some big names in their batting lineup and not much space for an overseas addition, KKR has a high chance to recall their old boy back even if it costs them some big bucks from their pockets.

2. Rilee Rossouw

The recent form of the quirky Protea can attract many bidders for a competitive bid to feature him in their IPL 2023 squad.

But amongst many, the Titans who seemed to limp for their number 3 would be the ones showing maximum intent in drawing in the African left-hander to add semblance to their batting innings.

1. Mujeeb Ur Rahman

The Afghan mystery spinner has been a treat to watch in this tournament played at the spinning tracks of the subcontinent. However, due to some unfortunate performances in the recent past, he had to face rejection in the last edition of the tournament.

But this year in the post-pandemic contests his form seems to be back with glory. His performances in the Asia cup followed by the ongoing T20 world cup seems to conquer the attention of the franchises in their hunt for a spin to work with the twine.

With a balanced pace attack in the super giants and kings, along with a stunning pace attack in the Sunrisers lineup, they all lack proper spinning options and Mujeeb would be the most appropriate bid to strengthen their squad.

Some others may include the Aussie leg spinner Adam Zampa, the Bangladesh skipper and all-rounder Shakib Al-Hasan and the Afghan wk-bat Rahmanullah Gurbaz.
