T20 WC 2022: India sets 180 runs target for the Netherlands

Team India won the toss and decided to bat first and the mix combination of old and new of the Indian team who came to play in the field, flamboyant batsmen and the like.

After half-centuries from captain Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and SuryaKumar Yadav, India set a target of 180 against the Netherlands in their Group B clash at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

Indian opener KL Rahul, batting first, lost his wicket early. The Netherlands bowler bowled with great discipline in the powerplay and restricted India to 32/1.

After this, captain Rohit Sharma opened his arms while completing his half-century with his dangerous batting. He will soon achieve his milestone after being dismissed for 53 off 39 balls.

On Sunday, Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav stepped up the aggression with the former, scoring consecutive half-centuries in the tournament after their memorable innings against Pakistan. He was backed heavily by Suryakumar, who also played some brilliant shots as he completed his half-century off the last ball.
