Rizwan played a Heroic Inning of 75 runs | Pakistan Tour of Ireland 2024: Pakistan played a dominating cricket against Ireland in the second T20I at Clontarf Cricket Club in Dublin and won the match by 7 wickets in just 16.5 overs. The Wicket-keeper batsman Mohd. Rizwan played a match-winning knock of 75 runs and led Pakistan to victory in a must-win game.
As of now, the three-match series between Pakistan and Ireland is tied 1-1. The third T20I will be played on May 14 at Clontarf Cricket Club Stadium and this match will decide the winner of the series. However, Pakistan will be looking to replicate the same performance in the 3rd T20I as well whereas Ireland will be in search of creating history by defeating Pakistan.
But, Ireland could have played better cricket in the 2nd T20I with the ball however their batters have played phenomenal cricket against the Pakistani Pacers. It is an excellent opportunity for Ireland to make a great memory in their history of cricket by winning the three-match T20I series against Pakistan.

Ireland batted first and they had a quite decent start however Pakistani bowlers dominated them in the initial few overs. But, later on, Lorcan Tucker and Harry Tector made a crucial partnership of 62 runs for the third wicket and led Ireland back into the game. Lorcan Tucker made 51 (32), he knocked five fours and two sixes but he needed to spend a few more overs so that Ireland could have a 200+ target.
Harry Tector played an impactful inning of 32(28) however he got out by playing a wrong shot against Abbas Afridi. Later on, Curtis Campher and Gareth Delany scored 22 and 28 runs, respectively in the death overs and led Ireland to a good target of 193 runs in 20 overs. From the Pakistan bowling unit, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Abbas Afridi took three and two wickets whereas Mohd. Amir and Naseem Shah got one wicket each.
But, the Pakistan batters comfortably chased the target in just 16.5 overs. Pakistan lost two wickets in the first two overs including the wicket of skipper Babar Azam, who got out at duck. Mohd. Rizwan and Fakhar Zaman made a match-winning partnership of 140 runs for the third wicket. Irish bowlers could have bowled better otherwise the result might be in their favour.
Mohd. Rizwan played a fantastic inning of 75 runs in 46 balls with six fours and four sixes whereas Fakhar Zaman scored 78 runs in 40 with 6 sixes and fours each. Both the batters showed great intent against Irish bowlers and led Pakistan to an easy win.
From the Ireland bowling department, Mark Adair, Graham Hume and Benjamin White took one wicket each. Ireland bowlers need to be more consistent with their line and length to dominate the batters.
