IPL 2023 New Rule: Now Teams Can give their playing XI After the Toss: A new Rule was announced on 22 march for the IPL 2023 that Teams can give the name of their playing XIs based on Toss. Whether they are doing bowling or batting on that basis, the teams have to provide the name of players in the playing XI with the name of the Impact player.
Necessary move By BCCI as the concern arises
As the IPL is so close, concern regarding various issues arises quickly. One of the issues is the impact player, as the team has to replace an Indian player in any inning of the match depending upon their need, but this seems unfair as the team batting first has slightly more advantage than the team bowling.
The team bowling first has many challenges if any of its bowlers gives too many runs, and the team doesn’t have any extra bowlers to bowl. Then in that situation, he has to use an impact player, but then in the second inning, when they come to bat, they have a shortage of batters as they have replaced a player during the first innings. So the decision made by BCCI is excellent. It will help the team to have a better
playing XI depending upon the Toss. Impact Player: This is a new rule introduced in IPL2023 in which a team can replace any player with an Indian player during the match as per the need of the team, but the replacement has to be done once, and If it is done, then That
replaced player will play till the match gets over.
