BAN vs IND: Bangladesh have announced their squad for the India Test series

BAN vs IND: Bangladesh will play a two-match test series against India as they tour the neighbouring nation for a series in red ball followed by a T20I series, which will mark the return of India’s stars of limited overs cricket.

India has already announced their squad for the red ball series as several Duleep Trophy players have been drafted in as well. Bangladesh on the other hand has a stronger and more confident side than the one that visited Pakistan a few weeks ago.

A calculative win over Pakistan in both of the matches as they won the two-match test series at Rawalpindi thus securing a clean sweep. Mehidy Hasan Miraz emerged as their most valuable player, as his all-round brilliance across every innings where he either rescued Bangladesh with the bat or led to their victory with the ball, he was thus named the Player of the Series.

However, it was during the tour that Bangladesh lead pacer Shoriful Islam suffered an injury which ruled him out of the India tour. In his place uncapped player Jaker Ali has been assigned a place in the squad.

Despite sub-continent conditions, Bangladesh went on to pick four great quick bowlers in Hasan Mahmud, Nahid Rana, Taskin Ahmed and Khaled Ahmed in the absence of the left-arm pacer. Mahmudul Hasan Joy makes a return to the test side after he missed the Pakistan series due to his groin injury during the warm-up game.

Bangladesh after an iconic win against Pakistan are now placed in the no.4 position at the WTC table and they have much of a chance to make it even to the finals if they can manage 5 more wins in the games remaining.
